We recently accepted an invitation from Clemson University to visit, and we had a productive couple of days. We gave a presentation to the Clemson University CyberInstitute about our current work on Twitter and the Occupy dataset with which we’ve been working. Jeff gets into social network analysis, Joe looks at the geographies of information exchange, and Shawn describes both the political implication and the magic sauce we used to make it all happen on a shoestring budget. You can view that presentation by clicking here (our apologies, as it looks as though there’s no way to embed the content directly into our page). The end of our presentation highlights an exciting new partnership between the SoMe Lab and those engaged with the Social Media Listening Center at Clemson University — we’re hard at work building an inter-university consortium to aid all types of academic researchers to do similar work with limited resources. We look forward to sharing more of these plans with you as they develop!
